The 52 Peak Club is a vibrant hiking community based in the Las Vegas area, dedicated to exploring the region's finest 52 locations. As hikers conquer each trail, they earn a poker card associated with that specific hike. Upon completing all 52 hikes, participants earn the esteemed title of "53er" along with a commemorative plaque and a joker card.

Attention all hikers embarking on their inaugural trek with us: it's time to start collecting your trail cards! As part of our unique hiking experience, all first-timers are required to gather these cards along their journey. How do you redeem for them, you ask? Well, you've got options!
At the summit, you can pay cash for your cards while enjoying the awesome view. Alternatively, if convenience is your game, you can simply Zelle payment to 52PeakClub@gmail.com at the trailhead. And for those forward-thinking hikers, we offer a prepaid option with a sweet 10% discount!

I’ve already hiked to that peak before, can I just get the card?
No, your hike must be registered in our club's meetup site and the hike must be led by one of our hike volunteers.
Can I get a card for a multi-peak hike?
Sort of. The only recognized multi-peak hikes that you can earn multiple cards are:
I am complete with my Red Rock cards and waiting for the snow to melt on Mt Charleston, can I just start a new deck now?
No. You must be completely finished with your current deck to start a new one. If you hike to the same peak multiple times during your deck, you will still receive mileage/elevation credit on the card tracker.
How can I become a celebrity in the Las Vegas hiking community?
Collect all cards to complete the 52 Peak Challenge! 😊...Upon completion of each deck of cards, you will be awarded a plaque, entered into the Hall of Fame and host a celebration hike. Because hikers love hiking to these peaks, it isn't uncommon for someone to hike multiple times to the same peak. Only one card of each suit and value must be earned (per deck) to qualify for the plaque and entrance to the Hall of Fame. Less than 7% of club members have completed all 52 Peaks. Celebration hikes are your official 53er hike. They are scheduled about every 3-4 months and we encourage your family and friends to attend. Waiver releases and club membership are not requried for celebration hikes.
How long do I have to complete the 52 Peak Challenge?
As long as it takes. Some people complete it in under a year and others take several years. You are challenging yourself and everyone is different with different life events that enable or distract your hiking opportunities.
How much does it cost to join the 52 Peak Club?
I am not sure about collecting cards but want to hike. Is that okay?
If this is your first deck, we kindly ask you to collect. The card fee's go to support the operations of the club! You are not asked to collect cards for subsequent hikes to which you have already collected the card for the deck.
What age is required for my child to participate in the 52 Peak Club Challenge (elite hiking deck)?
Youth ages 12 and older can participate in the 52 Peak Club challenge – Elite Deck, by joining the 52 Peak Club with their parent(s)/guardian. Children under age 12 can join after approval from the club organizer. If the youth are collecting cards, they will be entitled to a completion plaque, celebration hike and added to the 52 Peak Club Hall of Fame.
How much does it cost for my child to join?
To participate in the 52 Peak Club Challenge – Hiking Las Vegas (elite), there is a $52 enrollment fee and an annual $25 liability insurance fee (same fees as adults).
Meetup.com policy towards minors: “Meetup members and organizers must be at least 18 years old. Meetup groups and events must be only targeted to people over the age of 18. Family groups are more than welcome on Meetup, but all children present at the event must be supervised and accompanied by an adult guardian”. If my minor cannot have a meetup account, how do they sign up for hikes?
Meetup requires members to be 18 to create a meetup.com profile and account however, you do not need to be over 18 to participate in a meetup event because the parent/guardian must attend with the child. To sign up, the parent/guardian will RSVP for the hike and indicate a +1 for each child. The 52 Peak Club will create an account in the Card Tracker for each registered child. The 52 Peak Club targets adults for its posted events. We welcome hikers of ALL ages.
I am getting ready to sign myself and my child up for a hike. What should I do?
When will each peak be put onto the hiking schedule?
Hike organizers are volunteers and schedule hikes according to their personal schedules and desires. Weather also plays a factor in when a hike is scheduled. For the most part the higher elevations in the Charleston area are scheduled Spring - Summer - Fall and the Red Rock/Lake Mead areas are scheduled Fall - Winter - Spring

- Mummy Head Loop (Mummy Nose, Mummy Chin, and Mummy Forehead - All 3 peaks for 2 cards)
- Bridge 360 (Bridge Point, Bridge Vista and Bridge Mtn - All 3 peaks for 2 cards)
- Wilson 360 (Mt. Wilson, First Creek Peak & White Pinnacle - All 3 peaks for 2 cards)
- Lost Creek Loop (Lost Creek Peak, North Peak, and Goodman Peak - All 3 peaks for 2 cards)
- Mack's Loop (Mack's Peak to Mack's North Peak - 2 peaks for 2 cards)
- Rainbow 360 (defined) - Complete Rainbow Peak via a loop hike (ascend and descend a different route).

How much does it cost to join the 52 Peak Club?
- 52 Peak Club - Hiking Las Vegas (elite hikers): $52 to become a member. This is a one time fee and enables you access to the best hikes in the Las Vegas area and hike with some of the most awesome people in the local hiking community. We welcome ages 12 and older. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times.
- $25 annual fee for liability insurance policy. The liability insurance policy covers you with the club general liability insurance policy for 12 months (see FAQs for Liability Insurance Waiver Release for specific questions). When that 12 months expires, you renew by updating and re-signing the liability insurance waiver/release and paying $25 prior to your next hike after the expiration date. For example, if your renewal date is July 1st 2023, but you do not plan on hiking with the club until September, you can renew in September and that will establish a new annual 12 consecutive month period for you.
I am not sure about collecting cards but want to hike. Is that okay?

I am getting ready to sign myself and my child up for a hike. What should I do?
- Read the hike description and ensure that you and your child have the stamina, endurance, and skills to successfully complete the hike.
- Message the Hike Organizer to ensure s/he is comfortable with youth on that hike. The reason for that is the organizer decides what route (danger level) and as well as pace.
- The adult guardian signs up for the hike and indicates a +1, +2 etc. on the hike event.
- Ensure you and your child are prepared with the essentials, hydration, and snacks on the day of the hike.
- Have a blast and take pictures!
